Redskins Radio replaces Triple X

The Triple X ESPN Radio branding has been replaced by the Redskins Radio brand to describe the Red Zebra owned triad of stations in the Washington, D.C. area. WXTR/730, WWXX/92.7 and WWXT/94.3 already serve as the collective flagship for the Redskins Radio Network. Of course, using the "Redskins Radio" term for both the D.C. station triad and the collective group of game affiliates is more than a little unwieldy.

RedskinsRadioESPN.com has also been launched to replaces TripleXESPNRadio.com as the radio triad's official Web site.

On a side note, today also marks the first day that the triad simulcast will be split up. AM station 730 will carry afternoon baseball playoff action while the two FM stations 92.7 & 94.3 will continue with normal programming until joining baseball in progress at 7 p.m.
