The flooding rains that hit the Washington, D.C. area starting Sunday have prompted some outer suburban school systems to delay start times or stay closed to students altogether Monday, notes WTOP radio.
Charles County, Maryland and Culpeper, Fauquier & Stafford County systems in Virginia are closed to students for the day. Calvert and Anne Arundel County, Maryland schools are opening on two hour delays. Stretches of numerous roads remain closed due to ongoing floods.
