Governor Sarah Palin (R - Alaska) has won DCAbloob's Republican vice-presidential poll. The blogosphere favorite won the instant runoff preference vote over a field of potential nominees.
Palin led in top preference selections on the first ballot all along but trailed in second place overall under the instant runoff format for most of the polling period. Palin finally gained the overall poll advantage over the past 10 days.
Former poll leader Governor Bobby Jindal (R - Louisiana) dropped to second place behind Palin in the concluding count. Ex-Governor Mitt Romney (R - Massachusetts), the current odds-on favorite to win the actual nomination, received no top preference votes on the first ballot and thus did not register in the poll results.
