After a debacle of a performance last week, the Washington Redskins hold to recover their bearings in one final preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The ineffectual starting offense, propelled by an even more ineffectual offensive line, will likely have all of one series to redeem itself before being rested.
The major curiosity for this final preseason game will be former Redskins defensive coach Gregg Williams now working the Jaguars sideline in the same role. Of course, with starters being rested for virtually the entirety of the game, a curiosity is all it will prove to be this week.
Ultimately, the most interesting question may prove to be what NBC would do if the game overruns into the time allocated for Barack Obama's acceptance speech. My guess (just a guess) is that NBC would switch to Obama though where that would leave the Redskins telecast is not clear. At any rate, the start time for the Redskins game is 7 p.m. EDT on NBC (WRC/4) & WTEM/980 radio.
