A very limited set of area college football games this weekend is highlighted by a late afternoon clash of lower division I-AA / FCS powers as James Madison visits Richmond.
The James Madison Dukes have gone undefeated against FCS opponents to date (one loss at FBS Duke) en route to a #1 poll ranking while the Richmond Spiders stand at a solid #5, both teams seeking glory at the top of a dominant CAA conference. (3:30 p.m., Comcast SportsNet, WMET/1160)
In other area action (what there is of it), the Virginia Cavaliers hopes for upset #2 in hosting East Carolina (12 p.m., WDCA/20, WTNT/570), the Georgetown Hoyas return from their unplanned hiatus in a homecoming battle vs. Penn (2 p.m., GUHoyas.com) and Bowie State hosts Elizabeth City State (1:05 p.m., USSportsRadio.com). Maryland, Navy, Virginia Tech and Howard are all enjoying bye weeks.
