Opening Arena Football League games off NFL Network listings

‍

‍
The first three Arena Football League games scheduled for telecast on NFL Network this upcoming weekend have all been pulled from the major television schedule listings. TV listings services now list repeats of NFL Total Access and the network’s NFL Draft coverage instead as substitute programs on NFL Network.
‍

Saturday’s Orlando Predators at Albany Firebirds and Sunday’s Georgia Force at West Texas Desert Hawks game telecasts had originally been deleted from the NFL website’s schedule listing for NFL Network (h/t Jim Roberts) along with Zap2It’s TV listings overnight Tuesday. Sunday’s Southwest Kansas Storm at Salina Liberty telecast was subsequently deleted by both listing services Wednesday afternoon.
‍‍‍

Multiple other television listings including YouTube TV and TV Passport are now also reflecting the apparent removal of the three opening weekend game telecasts from the NFL Network schedule. It isn’t clear yet why Week 1 AFL games are seemingly no longer set to air on NFL Network with NFL Network not yet offering any comment and the AFL & its teams continuing to insist that the NFL Network’s AFL telecasts are still on.
‍

It should be noted that while the status of telecasts for week one games of the Arena Football League is in doubt, all eight opening week games including the five that hadn’t been slotted for NFL Network, are all still set to be played as scheduled. Television listings also continue to show week two AFL games on NFL Network for now.
