A Blizzard Warning remains in effect to 10 am Thursday, December 11, 2025 including the following jurisdictions.

MARYLAND: western Garrett.
WEST VIRGINIA: western Grant, western Pendleton.

…BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM EST THIS MORNING…

WHAT…Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 7 inches, with locally 8 inches possible on the western-facing slopes above 2500 feet along and west of the Allegheny Front. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. Visibility one-quarter mile or less.

WHERE…In Maryland, Western Garrett County. In West Virginia, Western Grant and Western Pendleton Counties.

WHEN…Until 10 AM EST this morning.

IMPACTS…Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Plan on slippery road conditions. Widespread blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact this morning’s commute. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Steady snow will continue before gradually tapering off this morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1.

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds are likely. This will lead to whiteout conditions, making travel extremely dangerous. Do not travel. If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay in your vehicle.
