A Coastal Flood Warning is in effect from 12 pm to 10 pm Monday, March 16, 2026 including the following jurisdictions.
MARYLAND: Anne Arundel.
The following is excerpted from the National Weather Service:
…COASTAL FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 10 PM EDT THIS EVENING…
WHAT…Up to one foot of inundation above ground level expected in low lying areas due to tidal flooding.
WHERE…Shoreline in Anne Arundel County.
WHEN…From noon today to 10 PM EDT this evening, especially around the time of high tide.
IMPACTS…At 3.2 feet, water begins to approach businesses on Dock Street in Annapolis. The City Dock parking lot is flooded. Compromise Street is flooded.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Tides two to two and a half feet above normal. The next high tide at Annapolis U.S. Naval Academy is at 4:30 PM and 4:33 AM.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth.
