A Flash Flood Warning is in effect Wednesday, July 16 to 12:30 am Thursday, July 17, 2025 including the following jurisdictions.

VIRGINIA: Fairfax, southeastern Fauquier, Prince William, north central Stafford, southeastern Manassas Park.

Flash Flood Warning for…
Fairfax County in northern Virginia…
Southeastern Fauquier County in northern Virginia…
Prince William County in northern Virginia…
North Central Stafford County in northern Virginia…
The Southeastern City of Manassas Park in northern Virginia…

Until 1230 AM EDT.

At 917 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 30 minutes. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
