A Flood Warning is now in effect to 8 pm Friday, June 27, 2025 including the following jurisdictions.

VIRGINIA: Prince William, Manassas.

Excerpted from the National Weather Service:

…FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING…

WHAT…Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

WHERE…A portion of northern Virginia, including the following county, City of Manassas and Prince William.

WHEN…Until 800 PM EDT.

IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 522 PM EDT, gauge reports indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. Between 2 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen.
– Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
