A Flood Warning is now in effect to 7 am Wednesday, July 2, 2025 including the following jurisdictions.

VIRGINIA: Culpeper, Madison, Orange.

…FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EDT THIS MORNING…

WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

WHERE…Portions of central, northern, and northwest Virginia, including the following counties, in central Virginia, Orange. In northern Virginia, Culpeper. In northwest Virginia, Madison.

WHEN…Until 700 AM EDT.

IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

– At 243 AM EDT, the Robinson River at Locust Dale remains in Minor Flood Stage.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
