A Flood Warning is in effect Wednesday, July 9 to 4:45 am Thursday, July 10, 2025 including the following jurisdictions.

MARYLAND: Anne Arundel, Howard.

Excerpted from the National Weather Service:

…FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 AM EDT THURSDAY…

WHAT…Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

WHERE…A portion of central Maryland, including the following counties, Anne Arundel and Howard.

WHEN…Until 445 AM EDT Thursday.

IMPACTS…Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 1042 PM EDT, gauge reports indicated heavy rain had occurred in the Little Patuxent Basin. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly along the Little Patuxent River near Savage and areas downstream.
– When the river reaches a stage of 10 feet, trails begin to flood and water approaches Brock Bridge Road.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don’t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
