A Flood Watch remains in effect Monday, June 9, 2025 to 12 am including the following jurisdictions.

MARYLAND: Washington, Allegany.
VIRGINIA: Shenandoah, Frederick, Clarke.
WEST VIRGINIA: Hampshire, Morgan, Berkeley, Jefferson, Hardy, Grant, Mineral.

…FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT…

WHAT…Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

WHERE…Portions of Maryland, including the following areas, Central and Eastern Allegany, Extreme Western Allegany and Washington, northwest Virginia, including the following areas, Clarke, Frederick VA and Shenandoah, and West Virginia, including the following areas, Berkeley, Eastern Grant, Eastern Mineral, Hampshire, Hardy, Jefferson, Morgan, Western Grant and Western Mineral.

WHEN…Until midnight EDT tonight.

IMPACTS…Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– Showers and thunderstorms will continue across the area this evening. Some thunderstorms will contain heavy rainfall with potential rainfall amounts around 1 to 3 inches within an hour. The heavy rain combined with saturated soil may cause creeks and streams to quickly rise out of their banks.
