MARYLAND: Washington, Frederick, Carroll, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Cecil, Prince George’s, Anne Arundel, Charles, St. Mary’s, Calvert, central/eastern Allegany, Montgomery, Howard, Harford.
VIRGINIA: Augusta, Rockingham, Shenandoah, Frederick, Page, Warren, Clarke, Nelson, Albemarle, Greene, Madison, Rappahannock, Orange, Culpeper, Fairfax, Arlington, Falls Church, Alexandria, Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George, Fauquier, Loudoun, Prince William, Manassas, Manassas Park.

WHAT…For the first Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 109 east of the Blue Ridge and up to 104 west of the Blue Ridge. For the second Heat Advisory, heat index values up to 107 expected east of the Blue Ridge, and up to 102 west of the Blue Ridge.
WHERE…Portions of DC, central, north central, northeast, northern, southern, and western Maryland, central, northern, northwest, and western Virginia, and eastern and panhandle West Virginia.
WHEN…For the first Heat Advisory, until 9 PM EDT this evening. For the second Heat Advisory, from 11 AM to 7 PM EDT Thursday.
IMPACTS…Hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat illnesses.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…
Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors.
Take extra precautions when outside. Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing. Try to limit strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Take action when you see symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
