A High Wind Warning remains in effect to 4 pm Tuesday, December 30, 2025 including the following jurisdictions.

MARYLAND: Allegany, Garrett.
VIRGINIA: Highland.
WEST VIRGINIA: Grant, Mineral, Pendleton.

…HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON…

WHAT…West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

WHERE…Portions of western Maryland, western Virginia, and eastern West Virginia.

WHEN…Until 4 PM EST this afternoon.

IMPACTS…Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive.
