A High Wind Watch remains in effect from 7 am Monday. December 29 to 4 pm Tuesday. December 30, 2025 including the following jurisdictions.

MARYLAND: Allegany, Garrett.
VIRGINIA: Highland.
WEST VIRGINIA: Grant, Mineral, Pendleton.

…HIGH WIND WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MONDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY AFTERNOON…

WHAT…West winds 25 to 40 mph with gusts around 60 to 65 mph possible.

WHERE…Portions of western Maryland, western Virginia, and eastern West Virginia.

WHEN…From Monday morning through Tuesday afternoon.

IMPACTS…Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.

Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a safe location prior to the onset of winds.
