A Wind Advisory remains in effect Sunday, January 11, 2026 to 12 am including the following jurisdictions.

MARYLAND: Allegany, Garrett.
VIRGINIA: Highland, northern/central Blue Ridge.
WEST VIRGINIA: Hampshire, Hardy, Grant, Mineral, Pendleton.

…WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EST TONIGHT…

WHAT…Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.

WHERE…Portions of western Maryland, central, northwest, and western Virginia, and eastern West Virginia.

WHEN…Until midnight EST tonight.

IMPACTS…Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Strongest winds will be along the ridges with slightly lower values in the valleys.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
