A Wind Advisory remains in effect from 10 am to 5 pm Friday, October 31, 2025 including the following jurisdictions.

MARYLAND: Washington, Frederick, Carroll, central/eastern Allegany.
WEST VIRGINIA: Hampshire, Morgan, Berkeley, Hardy, eastern Grant, eastern Mineral, eastern Pendleton.

WHAT…West winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

WHERE…Portions of north central and western Maryland and eastern and panhandle West Virginia.

WHEN…From 10 AM this morning to 5 PM EDT this afternoon.

IMPACTS…Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
