A Wind Advisory is now in effect to 4 pm Wednesday, November 12, 2025 including the following jurisdictions.

MARYLAND: Allegany, eastern Garrett.
VIRGINIA: Highland.
WEST VIRGINIA: Grant, Mineral, Pendleton.

Excerpted from the National Weather Service:

…WIND ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON…

WHAT…Westerly winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

WHERE…Portions of western Maryland, western Virginia, and eastern West Virginia.

WHEN…Until 4 PM EST this afternoon.

IMPACTS…Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
