WHAT…Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations 6 inches or more are possible. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph.
WHERE…In Maryland, Eastern Garrett and Western Garrett Counties. In West Virginia, Western Grant, Western Mineral, and Western Pendleton Counties.
WHEN…From Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning.
IMPACTS…Heavy snow could bring significant impacts the evening of New Year’s Eve into the morning of New Year’s Day. The combination of heavy snow and strong winds could result in near-blizzard conditions at times.

Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains, booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing.
