A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect to 11 am Friday, January 2, 2026 including the following jurisdictions.

MARYLAND: western Garrett.
WEST VIRGINIA: western Grant, western Pendleton.

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 AM EST THIS MORNING…

WHAT…Mixed precipitation. Additional snow accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations around a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.

WHERE…In Maryland, Western Garrett County. In West Virginia, Western Grant and Western Pendleton Counties.

WHEN…Until 11 AM EST this morning.

IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Friday morning commute.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS…The greatest confidence in icing is across Garrett County from roughly Deep Creek Lake southward towards Redhouse and along the western portions of Grant and Pendleton counties.
