…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 AM EST THIS MORNING…
WHAT…Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 4 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 to 60 mph will result in blowing and drifting snow.
WHERE…In Maryland, Extreme Western Allegany County. In Virginia, Western Highland County. In West Virginia, Western Mineral County.
WHEN…Until 7 AM EST this morning.
IMPACTS…Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. Strong winds could cause tree damage.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Periods of heavy snow are likely at times into Saturday morning, with snow squalls possible during this time. Blowing and drifting snow, along with heavy falling snow, could result in very low visibility.
