A Flood Warning is now in effect to 1 pm Thursday, May 15, 2025 including the following jurisdictions.

VIRGINIA: Fauquier, Prince William.

…FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON…

WHAT…Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

WHERE…A portion of northern Virginia, including the following counties, Fauquier and Prince William.

WHEN…Until 100 PM EDT Thursday.

IMPACTS…Flooding of low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS…
– At 628 AM EDT, gauge reports indicated flooding is occurring on Cedar Run near Aden. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain fell last night.
– Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected.
– Some locations that will experience flooding include…

Aden…
– This includes the following Flood Prone Roads…
Route 806 at Shenandoah Path and Sowego Road at Town Run near Route 806.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
