A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect to 5 pm Tuesday, March 17, 2026 including the following jurisdictions.

MARYLAND: Garrett.
VIRGINIA: western Highland.
WEST VIRGINIA: western Grant, western Pendleton.

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON…

WHAT…Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

WHERE…In Maryland, Eastern Garrett and Western Garrett Counties. In Virginia, Western Highland County. In West Virginia, Western Grant and Western Pendleton Counties.

WHEN…Until 5 PM EDT this afternoon.

IMPACTS…Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Tuesday evening commute.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Some snow squalls may track across the Alleghenies today, especially during the afternoon hours. Any such squall could lead to a rapid drop in visibilities and come with snowfall rates of one to one and a half inches per hour.
